5 PIECES EVERY WOMAN SHOULD HAVE IN HER WARDROBE
Different fashion trends come around almost every season, which is why it’s important to have basics in your wardrobe that will work no matter what styles you’re wearing. Having a mix of classic pieces in your closet will ensure that you always have something to wear - and will allow you to try those trendy pieces too! Below are five items that will work with every style, all year long, and will always be “in”.
A crisp pair of white sneakers will work with just about every outfit imaginable. Dress ‘em up by pairing them with a silk skirt or floral dress, rock them with leggings or jeans, or opt for workplace comfort and wear them with tailored trousers. Trainers are no longer just for running errands – they work with power suits, feminine dresses and even wedding gowns! Your LBD will get a whole lot cooler with a clean pair of white sneaks - and so will the rest of your wardrobe.

Outerwear you’ll reach for all season long! A denim jacket works in almost every temperature (okay, maybe not those 80 degree days), and is another garment that can be both dressed up and down. Right now I’m digging the oversized boyfriend style, but there are some outfits that call for a shorter, more cropped length. A medium wash is the most versatile shade, IMO – and don’t be scared to rock that Canadian Tuxedo! Just make sure your denim shades are different. Push up the sleeves for a cool relaxed vibe.

Blazers are all the rage right now, and for good reason. They’re no longer office-only attire and I’m here for it. Want to feel like a bad-ass boss lady? Throw a blazer over literally any outfit – seriously. They instantly elevate your look and can totally transform your mood. I love a boyfriend fit blazer, one that’s a little longer and structured, but isn’t tailored in the waist. Wear one over a dress for work, and change into jeans and heels for a night out! A black blazer is a classic that can do no wrong, but I’m loving beige, white and plaid too!

I could write a whole post about must-have basic tops, and a plain black cami would 100% be on the list. They’re perfect for layering under jackets, blazers, cardigans, and tucked into any mid or high-rise bottoms. You can wear them on their own if it’s warm enough, or layer them under a cardigan if you need an extra bit of warmth. Just a great basic to have on hand.

It doesn’t get any more classic than a basic white tee. It’s one of the most transformative pieces you can own. Throw it on with jeans and sneakers, tuck it into a skirt, or wear it layered under cardigans and jackets. Get extra wear out of your more revealing dresses and tops by layering a white tee underneath for a cool 90’s vibe. A white tee is something that you will reach for time and time again, for years to come – definitely something my wardrobe can’t live without!
